Afcfta Policy Network Ghana & Diaspora

AfCFTA policy network was established in 2019 as the lead and largest international nongovernmental organization (NGO) focused primarily as a think tank on African continental free trade area implementation.

GENERAL DELIVERABLES & ACTIVITIES

  • Aid in the expansion of trade within the African continent through effective coordination and promotion of trade liberalization amongst various African states.
  • Assist with the creation of a single continental market for the trade of goods and services, promoting free movement of investors, businesspersons, goods, and services.
  • Develop strategies and policy regimes to plug implementation gaps within the AfCFTA programmes.
  • Promote coordination and integration of policies, programmes and legal regimes of member states.
  • See for and provide opportunities for the promotion of investment by Africans across the African continent.

  • Provide general information about intra-African trade and highlight how businesses have succeeded following regional integration in other continents.
  • Share scope into our more in-depth look at Ghana’s trading patterns and highlight countries with businesses that could serve as both help and hindrances to Ghanaian businesses, for possible trade synergy.
  • Provide ideas on how Ghanaian businesses can thrive in a fully employed, free-trade Africa, in specific sectors including Retail and Trade, Information and Technology and Processed Agriculture.
